My counselling style is compassionate and caring while remaining focussed and practical. I use a cognitive-behavioural approach embedded within a humanistic framework, as well as using mindfulness-based approaches and relaxation. This means that together you and I will work to look at patterns of thoughts, beliefs, and feelings to help you change the way you view yourself and the world. I believe that work done outside of sessions is also really important for creating change, and I will ask you to bring a notebook to sessions to make notes and to connect your outside life with our sessions.
